Lan Ramen: Reviews & Ratings

Lan Ramen in downtown Princeton hit the spot. We didn’t have a reservation and only waited about 15 minutes, which honestly wasn’t bad at all. Once we sat down, the service was quick and everything came out pretty fast. I had the Lan Su beef noodle soup and it was perfect for the weather. The broth was rich, the spice was hot but balanced, and it had that comforting warmth you want from a good bowl of noodles. We also ordered the shrimp potstickers, and they were super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The portions are pretty big too, so don’t be surprised if you end up taking leftovers home. Overall, a solid spot if you’re in Princeton and craving noodles.

Very unique asian quisine. Large, diverse menu for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Service is quick, but the place isn’t huge, so there may be a wait at the busiest times. Most meals seem to be 16-22, which is about right for Princeton. Thanks for great service, Rosemary.

I had lunch there with some colleagues during a weekday in the summer of 2025. Some Chinese colleagues suggested this place. Parking was a bit tricky as this is pretty much in the middle of Princeton downtown. The place was not very crowded. We ordered several dishes and shared them. The food came relatively quickly and was quite tasty and plentiful. The service was very good. We were quite happy with our visit.

Great food. Really loved the Rock Shrimp and Beef Steamed Buns appetizers. Ordered the Braised Beef Ramen, it was delicious and a good choice for a very cold day. Also if you sit at the bar you can watch them make the noodles

Noodles are delicious, especially their hand-pulled ones. The popcorn chicken was good too and fast. The service was excellent, even though we had to wait during rush hours. The turnover was surprisingly quick. The noodles were a bit softer than usual today. I prefer harder noodles, but I forgot to mention this to the staff.

We got the pork dumplings, Taiwanese pork chop, and the Lanzhou Braised Beef Noodles. The dumplings were the best thing we had. Super fresh and really good. The pork chop was ok, but the rice was pretty dry. The braised beef noodles were comforting and the beef was really tender. The hand pulled noodles were awesome. Overall a good spot and I’d come back, especially for the dumplings and noodles.

We visited LAN Ramen in Princeton with a group of 12 around 4:15 PM. Even with a large party, the staff greeted us warmly right when we walked in. The manager asked if we had a reservation, and although the restaurant wasn’t very busy yet, they were still able to accommodate us. They kindly let us know they had another reservation later in the evening, so as long as we finished by a certain time, we were all set — and we really appreciated the clear communication. We ordered several dishes from the menu, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Our server was very attentive, checking in often and making sure our group had everything we needed. By the time we finished dinner, the restaurant had completely filled up — there were people waiting at the door, and the place was packed. From what I saw, this is definitely a popular spot, so I highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation, especially if you’re coming with a bigger group. I’ve been to a few Asian restaurants in the area, but LAN Ramen really stands out. The food, the service, and the cozy atmosphere all made for a great dining experience. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you’re in or around the Princeton area!
